Oye!
During December, if you live in the Rochester, NY, you might’ve seen a little ad run for your local Wegman grocery store that featured the one and only Alec Baldwin. It didn’t run for very long as the ad was subsequently pulled after Alec ran into a little trouble.
Yeah, you know what we’re talking about. That little “situation” on American Airlines. Apparently, the Rochester-based grocery chain received “dozens of complaints” from their customers after the ad started airing shortly after Alec was “rude” to the staff of his AA flight.
Wegmans spokesperson Jo Natale adds:
“We had perhaps a couple of dozen complaints, and we take complaints from our customers seriously. We enjoyed working with Mr. Baldwin, but under the circumstances we thought it best to discontinue the ads.”
It should be noted that Jo also added that the company has no plans to work with Baldwin in 2012.
Somehow, we don’t feel like Alec is losing too much sleep over this.
