The former pastor and one-time American Idol contestant has officially entered the Ohio state prison system, where he will begin serving his life sentence after being convicted for Ashley’s murder.

According to booking records, per TMZ and several other outlets on Thursday morning, Flynn was officially booked on Wednesday at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio.

Whoa.
Of course, as we’ve been reporting, Flynn was convicted of shooting Ashley inside their Tipp City home and staging the scene to make it appear as though a break-in had occurred.
Before sentencing, Flynn delivered an emotional statement to his daughters, parents and Ashley’s family, while continuing to maintain that he did not kill his wife.
Ashley’s family, meanwhile, spoke about the devastating impact of her death. Her brother-in-law Matt Keyt, for one, called for the maximum sentence, saying that Caleb’s decision had “created permanent loss that has created permanent consequences.”
Flynn’s defense continues to maintain his innocence, FYI. They even filed a notice of appeal on Wednesday, the same day he entered the state prison system.
