Although nothing is confirmed, we hear sexy True Blood vamper Alexander Skarsgard is the lead choice to play the title role in David Yates‘ Tarzan!
Now, don’t confuse ASkars’ Tarzan with Kellan Lutz‘s upcoming portrayal of Tarzan…
Apparently the films will be VERY different beasts (in more ways than one!), with Kellan’s being more of a light, comedic romp, and Alex’s being more of an artistic take on the classic Tarzan tale.
Samuel L. Jackson is ALSO rumored to star in Yates’ Tarzan, which maps the character of John Clayton III’s devolution into the vine-swinging dude.
The flick will hopefully start filming Summer 2013.
Anything with Alexander S. in it sounds wildly sexy to us! We may just go wail from the treetops in SO much excitement!
