This is going to be so good!
It’s no secret that Hollywood loves reboots, but a fresh take on Alien is something we can totally get behind.
Chappie‘s Neill Blomkamp has been hinting at wanting to work on the Ridley Scott classic for a while now, and the director announced the project officially on his Instagram page on Wednesday, saying:
“Um… So I think it’s officially my next film. #alien”
So simple, yet so amazing!
All we know so far is that neither the Alien revamp nor Prometheus 2 have a script attached yet, so it’ll still be a while until we get to see those aliens back on the big screen.

We’re putting it out there that Sigourney Weaver totally needs to be a part of this!
With Fox distributing, Neill directing, and Ridley producing, this movie is quickly shaping up to be as iconic as the original Sci-Fi adventure!
