Approaching it’s 12th season, the American Idol train may finally be coming off the tracks!
Ratings are “meh,” judges are dropping like cray, and now showrunners have resorted to drunk-dialing old girlfriends contestants.
They’ve already reached out to Taylor Hicks, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, and Adam Lambert.
A show insider spoke about the ungluing. They said:
“Idol is reaching out to try and gauge the interest of former contestants coming back on the show to participate in some way. They wouldn’t necessarily be in judging positions, but the show wants them involved.”
Hmm.
Somebody needs to fill Steven Tyler and J. Lo’s recently vacated shoes… and we know it won’t be Jon Bon Jovi.
We’re halfway expecting their next stunt to involve Ryan Seacrest on water-skis, jumping over a shark!!
Still, Carrie would be a good choice. She’s hosted the CMT Awards a bunch of time, and she has real personality. We’d be cool sitting next to her on the panel. #PerezForIdol — keep it going!!!
