Amy Schumer is bringing receipts so no one gets it skewed anymore — she’s NEVER been a big fan of jewelry!
In her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, the comedian shared a throwback photo from her 2007 set on Last Comic Standing. In the pic, she’s rocking a ponytail, a brown top, some dark jeans, and a bold turquoise necklace! Definitely a piece of its time and some nostalgia to look at. LOLz!
She captioned the photo:

This seems to be a direct response to her other explanation as to why she hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring! In case you’re not caught up, Amy and her hubby Chris Fischer have been caught up in a lot of divorce rumors. We first heard they were on the rocks and headed toward a permanent split a while ago. Then came her dramatic weight loss, which just added fuel to the fire — with some fans claiming they were divorcing BECAUSE of her weight loss.
What followed was the Trainwreck star making a post explaining all the recent drama, particularly the fact she’s ditched her ring. She said in a now-deleted post from Tuesday that she “never, ever” wears jewelry. This seems to be her clap back with receipts! Which… aren’t all that accurate, to be fair. Amy HAS worn a wedding band before — and definitely after she wore this necklace — just not recently.
We mean, here she is wearing it in 2018…
The post she made on IG is a funny pic regardless, though! We mean, it’s basically a mid-00s time capsule. Ha! We can see why she wanted to repost and show off some HIGHlarious mems.

But it seems like Amy is trying to divert attention away from her marriage problems, and we don’t really blame her. We mean, a possible breakup with someone you’ve spent a good portion of your life with, and had a child with? That’s painful. Ugh.
In the same Tuesday post, the 44-year-old also said she was keeping her “fingers crossed” that she and Chris could work through their issues. We really hope they can work things out in the best way for them and their little one, Gene, whether that means staying together or splitting.
