UPDATE 8:30 P.M. EST: Amy Schumer responds to Jackson’s apology with the following tweet:
@LCJReviews that’s really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that

Talk about a face palm moment!
Amy Schumer was flying high after her big wins at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday, though that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to deal with her fair share of haters.

In fact, the Trainwreck genius had to deal with some serious shade from a teenage film critic Jackson Murphy. After posing for a pic with the blonde beauty, the 17-year-old thought it would be funny to slut-shame the award winning comedienne. Of course, that didn’t go over well with Amy’s fans or the A-lister herself.
The young reporter posted (and deleted) on Twitter:

Sigh!
The silver lining from this situation (above) was that the funny lady absolutely schooled the mini critic. However, Jackson appears to have regretted his remarks as he quickly took to the social media site to apologize. He shared:
@amyschumer I truly apologize. Thought you’d like the joke. I should leave the comedy to you! Thanks for the photo. Glad you won last night!

I truly apologize for the tweet I posted earlier. I’m not a comedian and it wasn’t funny. @amyschumer

Well, at least he said sorry.
Here’s to hoping more kiddos (and adults for that matter) learned a valuable lesson from this unfortunate example.
Fingers crossed.
