It’s no question that Amy Schumer is currently Hollywood’s “It Girl”.
After raking in hundreds of millions of dollars with her blockbuster film Trainwreck, snagging an Emmy award for her show Inside Amy Schumer, and building an A-list squad with Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, it seems like there’s nothing Miz Schumer can’t do. However, despite her new found fame, the blonde beauty is still trying to navigate through the waters of Tinseltown.

In a recent sit down with Vanity Fair, Amy opened up about her longtime besties, the media’s fixation on her relationship, and her recent dedication to advocating for gun control. Oh man!
Ch-ch-check out the highlights from her sit down with magazine for yourself (below)!

5. Amy talks about introducing her high school BFFs to new Hollywood bestie J.Law:
“It’s all my friends from high school├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥these girls, these monsters. They’re afraid I’m going to forget about them. So, like, they keep buying me things, to remind me of them… I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£I have to bring all my friends from high school.’ They were like, ├óΓé¼╦£Are you serious?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, if I go and don’t bring them, it’ll be an issue.’ ”
4. Surprisingly, Amy is NOT a workaholic — despite all of her success:
“I love all the things that I’m doing, but that all my time is accounted for? I’m not Joan Rivers, where I’m like, ‘A full calendar is happiness.’ I would love to do nothing, like waking up and not knowing what you’re going to do that day. The other day I was so overwhelmed I left work an hour early and I just went and watched Labyrinth on my sister’s couch.”
3. On creating characters as a child:
“My sister and brother liked to play characters that already existed, like Snow White, but I liked to make up my own characters, and I’d walk around as that character in the house, and people would address me as her. Madame Lavitchky was a big one. She was a fortune-teller. I would wrap my head and turn a glass vase upside down and I’d give readings to everyone, very dramatic. Like ├óΓé¼╦£Your husband’s going to die at war.’ Crazy sh*t.”
2. Amy opens up about learning about the Lafayette movie theater shooting:
“It really ├óΓé¼┬ª I don’t know. It’s like when the Dark Knight shooting happened, and in Paris. The idea of people trying to go out and have a good time├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥you know, like looking forward to it?├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥I don’t know why that makes me the saddest. So my publicist told me. And then I put on the news. I was by myself in a hotel, and I was just like, I wish I never wrote that movie… I just felt helpless and stupid.”
1. On the media’s obsession with her relationship to Ben Hanisch:
“It’s all f*cking crazy. I feel like right now I’m going to crack down and keep myself more private for that reason. Which feels, you know, kind of counter-intuitive as a comic. But I don’t know├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥it seems necessary.”
