Uh, oh. This doesn’t look good for Andrew Mountbatten Windsor!
After his arrest, the former Prince Andrew has been pretty much completely exiled from the royal family. However, he’s still eighth in line to the throne — first after Prince William and his three kids and Prince Harry and his two kids. It’s a long shot that he’d ever take the throne. Something absolutely tragic would have to happen, but it’s not out of the question — despite all his controversies!
There’s been calls to remove him from the line, but that would take an Act of Parliament and consent from the Commonwealths where King Charles III is monarch. That said, there’s been reports that the British government is looking into creating new legislation that would remove him. It’s a complex and lengthy process… but is royal family in on it??

On Monday, Andrew received a peculiar visit to his home, Wood Farm. According to reports, Richard Benyon, the Lord Chamberlain of the Royal Household, stopped by for a private, two-hour meeting. In his role, Richard is the main point of communication between the King and the House of Lords. It’s unclear what they discussed, but it’s got a LOT of people thinking they could’ve talked about removing Andrew from the line of succession. Or what other hot topic could they have been discussing as Andrew continues to be scrutinized for his ties to Jeffrey Epstein?? Hmm. We have to imagine the chat must’ve been important!
Again, removing Andrew from the line of succession would be very complicated, but he wouldn’t be the first royal family member to be booted! So, we’ll have to see what happens…
