Why King Charles Is Hesitant To Punish Andrew Further Over Epstein Ties!

After his brother, the now-former Prince Andrew, was arrested last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office tied to the never-ending nightmare surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, King Charles III released a carefully worded statement expressing his “deepest concern.”

He made it clear that the “appropriate authorities” had his “full and wholehearted support and cooperation.” On paper, that sounds resolute. In reality, the situation is far more complicated — and far more uncomfortable.

According to reporting from DailyMail.com on Thursday, Andrew remains eighth in line to the throne AND is still officially a Counsellor of State. That means he is technically one of the handful of royals who could step in to deputize for the King if Charles were ever unwell or otherwise unable to fulfill his duties. Let that sink in for a moment.

When asked why this hasn’t been addressed, royal insiders reportedly offered explanations that are raising eyebrows across the UK and beyond. One source suggested to the outlet that the King is deeply reluctant to “meddle” with the line of succession, explaining:

“He thinks it would be opening up a can of worms. For example, if Andrew is removed, would his daughters have to be, too? He thinks they are blameless and do not deserve to be punished.”

What?! THAT is the reason??

Another source framed the hesitation differently, saying the monarch does not want to appear prejudicial toward his brother:

“If he strips him of his place in the line of succession, this could be interpreted as a sign that he thinks Andrew is guilty.”

Hmmm…

It’s a delicate dance between family loyalty and public duty, but critics argue this moment calls for clarity, not caution.

BTW, the King has already shown he can adjust the roster of Counsellors of State when necessary. In 2022, he successfully asked Parliament to add his sister, Anne, Princess Royal, and his younger brother, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, with minimal drama. At the time, Andrew and Prince Harry were NOT removed, reportedly to avoid inflaming family tensions.

Removing Andrew from the line of succession would require an Act of Parliament. But other commonwealth leaders in countries like Australia and New Zealand have already signaled openness to such a move. So, the mechanism exists.

Now, the question is whether the will does…
