Brad Pitt and his socially concerned almost wifey have donated $50,000 toward the purchase of tents for the Syrian Refugees living in camps setup throughout Syria’s neighbouring countries.
Angelina is part of a special envoy for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees that recently visited the Zaatari Refugee Camp in Mafraq, and girl has been heavily involved with those who’ve been displaced due to the ongoing Syrian civil war.
In a UNHCR press release, Angelina expressed:
“I’m sickened by how long and how bloody this conflict has become, devastating a nation and the lives of millions of innocent civilians, and threatening to destabilize the entire region. I call on the international community to do everything possible to find a solution to this tragedy and support the struggling humanitarian operations both inside Syria and in Jordan and the other surrounding countries.”
The engaged — in more ways than one! — actress recently said she is likely to quit the Hollywood biz to focus her attention on taking care of her kids AND to devote time towards concerns of a humanitarian nature.
