Obviously there’s nonstop talk about Angelina Jolie‘s acrimonious relationship with her most recent ex-husband. But it’s rare we hear anything about the status with her first husband.
Yes, before Brad Pitt there was Billy Bob Thornton. And before him there was Jonny Lee Miller.

You most likely know him from Elementary these days — their four-year marriage was so long ago, ending in the year 2000, we wouldn’t be surprised if some folks out there had no idea they were married!
Angelina and Jonny were married in 1996 when she was just 21 years old. They met on the set of the undeniably ’90s teen cyber-thriller Hackers.
It was the subject of that cult classic that got Angie to speak publicly about her ex for the first time in… we can’t even remember how long! At the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Wednesday, film critic Leonard Maltin interviewed the Maria star about her work, starting with a highlight reel of her entire career. She mused before he began:
“I was just saying to somebody, it’s really funny because I think you’re starting with Hackers, right? Yeah, it’s Jonny. I just talked to him. I love that — I get to see my ex-husband with 2,000 people.”
Awww! After the clip of the youthful couple — playing Zero Cool and Acid Burn, naturally — she gushed:
“Amazing. It’s so nice to see it. Actually, it’s funny, I don’t really watch my own films, and so I [don’t] think I’ve seen it since the premiere. But I do have a wonderful relationship with Jonny, and he and I have sons the same age and I’m so happy.”
That’s so great! We’re glad they still have a great relationship!
Too bad she and Brad can’t also get along. You know, they also both have sons the same age…
