It’s her movie, and she’ll cry if she wants to!
Anne Hathaway‘s performance in Les Miserables is moving a lot of filmgoers to tears- and Anne herself is one of them!
The Dark Knight Rises star cried when she saw herself as the famous ill-fated prostitute. She says:
“I cry, but I think it’s because I’m still connected to the experience of making it, the process. For me, when I see it, I actually have to be aware when I’m doing press, because it brings me a lot closer to Fantine.
She’s so broken that I actually have to protect myself a little bit. So when I saw it, I did cry, but not because of what I was doing [on screen]. It was because I was back in the process of making it.”
So what was so bad about the process? Anne deprived herself of food for at least 13 days in order to lose a whopping 25 lbs for the film!
Eesh, we’re getting a little teary just thinking about not eating for two weeks!
No wonder Anne is trying to get pregnant- she’s planning on making up for lost time by eating for two! LOLz!
