Ariana Grande may have excused her behavior — but her fanbase isn’t beating those toxic allegations any time soon!
Over the weekend, Elvira, revealed her “least favorite” celebrity encounter was with the Thank U, Next singer. The way Elvira, real name Cassandra Peterson, tells it, Ari asked for 21 tickets for her and her relatives to come see one of the Mistress of the Dark’s shows. Ariana then asked the TV star to take pictures with all her guests, which she did. But when Elvira asked for just the one pic with Ariana Grande in return, she said NO! And then she left before the show even started!
The Needy singer addressed the drama on Monday, commenting on one of Elvira’s Instagram posts that she had an “anxiety attack” during the encounter, which was seven years ago — just months after the deadly Manchester bombing at her UK concert. She added:
“but if i’m misremembering this moment, i sincerely apologize for offending you so.”
See her full apology (below):
It totally makes sense she wouldn’t want to be there in a big crowd — AND that she wouldn’t want to talk about why. Not sure about rejecting the single photo though, that still seems pretty damn rude.

But it’s Ari’s fans who are really crossing the line! They’re absolutely trashing the 73-year-old in her Instagram feed! Like take this post advertising some of her hosting gigs on streaming:
In the comments of this and other recent posts, Arianators have been writing things like:
“your era is over grandma”
“you flopped so hard”
“So the worst possible experience is someone didn’t want a picture with you?”
“imagine making up stories to promote s**t merchandising”
“girl take this down…”
“You needed to mention Ari to get traction”
“okay? you’ll live without a picture, it’s never that serious”
“just desperate”
Wow. Just remind us, they’re putting up all that stuff because Elvira suggested their queen might be… rude? Uh huh.
The question is, are the Arianators totally out of control here? Or are they taking their cues from Ari? Because in that apology comment, girl does hint that Cassandra is the one being rude, right? When she says:
“thank you for always being so nice to my mom, she told me how lovely you were (she might have different feelings about that now but i’ll talk to her… clearly, we all have our days!) sending love always.”
Think about what she’s saying there. Her mom thought Elvira was lovely at the time but “might have different feelings about that now.” Implying she is the one being rude by telling the story. And the “clearly we all have our days”? That’s some old school shade right there!
What do YOU think, Perezcious readers? Should Ari’s apology have calmed her fans? Or does that statement only serve to rile them up more??
