The easiest way to pick Ariana Grande out of a crowd is to look for her signature high ponytail.
But, thanks to a new Instagram photo, we’re now wondering — along with frantic fans — if the singer’s going to switch up her look!

On Tuesday, Ari posted this sideways snap (above) of herself in a wig (from Scream Queens, perhaps?) that only comes to — gasp! — her shoulders!
The pint-sized pop sensation teased that a haircut COULD be in her future, captioning the shot:

“whattttttttt iffffff#heymamawelcometothe60s ├░┼╕Γäó╦å”

Naturally, her fans FREAKED.
While some complimented the short ‘do, most began panicking, desperate to confirm that the bob was a wig or begging the 21-year-old not to chop her long locks.
We have to say, she’s totally rocking the retro look… and we LOVE the Hairspray reference in her post! LOL!
