Well, the show has come and gone, and the pop princess is incredibly emotional now that the experience is over.
On Thursday, the pint-sized starlet took to IG to express just how much she’ll miss working alongside the super talented cast and crew.
In one snap, she showed herself all dolled up and in character, watching the TV magic unfold on a monitor. In the caption, the singer couldn’t stop praising her time with the production, writing:

“I don’t know where to start. crying so much today. my heart is with hairspray. my heart is in Baltimore with penny lou pingleton and seaweed and tracy and Mr. & Mrs. Turnblad the motormouth kids and the nicest kids. such a bittersweet feeling.”

She continued to gush about the awesome opportunity, adding:

“i can’t put into words how grateful i am not only to have played one of my favorite roles in the world, or to have been lucky enough to sing the songs I grew up singing religiously in the car every day on the way to school, but to have been introduced to the most incredibly beautiful people i’ve ever met. I feel so blessed and so happy and so sad. But mostly, so so grateful. ├óΓäó┬í”

In another post, she shared a sweet shot with Jennifer Hudson, and absolutely raved about working alongside the flawless American Idol alum in the caption, saying:

“my LOVE. what’s even more special than her God given, breathtaking talent is how she makes people feel !!! thank you for the millions of hugs and laughs and talks. you are such a gift. i love you so so so so much and it was an honor to sing with you. #ComeSoFar ├óΓäó┬í”

We don’t blame Ari for getting sappy because it’s clear that she, JHud, Maddie Baillio, Dove Cameron, Garrett Clayton, Martin Short, Harvey Fierstein, Ephraim Sykes, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Kristin Chenoweth, and Derek Hough all got along both onscreen and off!
