Later that day, the Puerto Rican musician — born Destiny Nicole Frasqueri — shared a video on Twitter juxtaposing 7 rings with her song Mine, from her mixtape 1992.
In the shade-filled clip, Nokia exclaimed:

“Does that sound familiar to you? ’Cause that sound really familiar to me. Ain’t that the lil song I made about brown women and their hair? Hmmm… sounds about white.”

According to Pitchfork, Nokia reportedly retweeted (and apparently un-retweeted) the following message where a fan claims Grande’s “new album literally plagiarizes flows, words, bars from Nokia.”
