Peter Jackson is making his Comic-Con debut this July!

Jackson will be in San Diego to help support and promote the film District 9, an alien movie slated for release in August, which Jackson produced and friend Neill Blomkamp directed.

In an email, Jackson wrote, “I├óΓé¼Γäóm thrilled that I finally have the opportunity. Neill is a tremendously talented young director, and he├óΓé¼Γäós made an extraordinary film, so it was important to me to come to San Diego to spread the word,” adding, with elaboration, that the audience would be in for “quite a ride.”

So gather up your traveling companions and make haste for San Diego!
