Baby Giant Anteater Shocks Zoo Visitors With Unscheduled Appearance

There were a few lucky zoo visitors in England who got to see a VERY rare sight!
A baby giant anteater made an unscheduled appearance at the Longleat Safari & Adventure Park in Wiltshire.
And he was TOO cute!
Choccy, as he is nicknamed by staff, will ride his momma, Maroni’s, back for six months and will swing around her to feed from her. The baybay will rarely let go of his mom during this time.
The best part about Choccy’s arrival is that giant anteaters are currently classified as vulnerable on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species.
Congratulations to the new momma and her baby!
