Asrid Loch and Kevin Wendt are engaged.

The couple, who met and fell in love on season five of Bachelor in Paradise, reportedly got engaged last week on August 28 in Toronto, Canada where they live.

Wait, so they’ve been engaged for almost a week and we’re just now hearing about this?!

It’s unclear why the pair decided to wait a bit before sharing their happy news with the world, but we’re still loving their joint Instagram announcement posts, no less!

Ch-ch-check out Kevin’s gorgeous set of photos (below):

And the flicks Astrid also shared (below):

In the caption of her post, the former BiP contestant gushed:

“08.28.19. I could have sworn the world stood still in this moment. A moment I’ll never forget. Just you + me. @kevin.c.wendt you’ve taught me to love, learn and grow and I can’t believe you’ve chosen me to spend this crazy life with. Wonder if I’ll ever stop smiling? Probably not. In this together, forever. ♥️”

For his part, the Canadian firefighter wrote (below):

“You’ll never walk alone again. From here on out, we run together. Astrid you are my family, babe. Forever. (See my stories for the adventure/most nervous I’ve been my entire life!!!)”

Congrats!

We’re so happy for these two!

The 29-year-old Bachelor alum told People she thought Kevin was taking her out for just a casual sunset picnic in the park before the 30-year-old got down on one knee and proposed.

Wendt set the scene with a ring in the pocket of his pants, a pair of photographers waiting in the bushes, and the duo’s special song — Tequila by Dan + Shay — playing as he began a heartfelt speech asking Astrid to become his wife.

Recalling his decision to finally pop the question, the former reality TV star told the outlet:

“I actually forgot what I said. I just remember it was a no-brainer to marry her. I see her more as my family than any kind of girlfriend, and I just knew I couldn’t ever let her go.”

Kevin went on to share more intimate details about the moment he proposed:

“And then I quickly told her to move her bike because the ring box was so big and it was in my little backpack beside the picnic stuff that I didn’t know how to get it out of there. And so I told her to move her bike, and she kind of looked me like I’m an idiot. Like, why don’t you move it? And as soon as she turned her back, I grabbed it and crammed it in my back pocket. And I don’t know if you know, but skinny jeans are not easy to cram things into.”

Although the pair has been seriously dating for over a year, Loch admitted she was caught completely off guard by her new fiancé. Recalling the engagement from her perspective, she said:

“I was so clueless. And you never get a surprise really by me, ever. I feel like I pay attention to everything, and I had absolutely no clue.”

Her man put a ring on it, y’all! Speaking of the ring, The Bachelorette Canada alum had a custom, cushion-cut diamond ring from Wendt’s Jewellery (his great-great-grandfather’s family business) hand crafted for the proposal.

Giving Neil Lane a run for his money!

Anyway, congratulations again to the happy couple! At this point, it might be safe to say that Paradise has the best track record of its contestants actually staying together! LOLz.
