Holy McLovin!
Pineapple Express star James Franco has revealed that we could be seeing a Pineapple Express-meets-Superbad flick on the big screen!
Franco told MTV:
├óΓé¼┼ôEven before ├óΓé¼╦£Superbad├óΓé¼Γäó came out, I think the studio was trying to get [Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg] to write a sequel, but they really didn├óΓé¼Γäót want to write a sequel. I guess the kids would go to college or something like that [that was the studio’s idea]. And so, an answer to that was to do a ├óΓé¼╦£Superbad├óΓé¼Γäó/’Pineapple Express├óΓé¼Γäó crossover, an unprecedented crossover movie with two directors, Greg Motolla and David Gordon Green, each directing half of the movie and somehow these characters get together, which doesn├óΓé¼Γäót make sense at all, but could work.├óΓé¼┬¥
Rogen himself has stated that he’d be interested in a “Pineapple” sequel. But how would he combine the two universes? Just ask Franco.
├óΓé¼┼ôI could sell them [the characters from ‘Superbad’] something, but I think we├óΓé¼Γäód want some action, so you know, somehow the kids get in trouble somehow and we have to get them out of it. And Seth plays characters in both movies, so somehow we├óΓé¼Γäód have to kill one of them off.├óΓé¼┬¥
That’s a whole lot of information! Will Mr. Franco get in tons of trouble for telling all?
If it’s going to happen we think it needs to happen fairly soon!
