We previously mentioned that Barbara Walters had chicken pox recently.
She had to go to the hospital for it because at her age it can be very serious.
She’s alright now but still feeling “weak and tired” so she won’t be returning to the The View for three weeks!
Barbara not only was sick, but she fell and hit her head while at the Presidential Inauguration!
She said:
“I had a temperature and I had the chicken pox and didn├óΓé¼Γäót know it. So when I was in Washington for the inauguration weekend, I fainted at the British Embassy. If you├óΓé¼Γäóre going to faint, it├óΓé¼Γäós a very elegant place to faint. And I hit my head and had six stitches ├óΓé¼┬ª in addition to the chicken pox ├óΓé¼┬ª I had been in somebody├óΓé¼Γäós company who had the shingles and I got the chicken pox from them. But, I also got a concussion. So I have been a little weak. I am not in any pain. I├óΓé¼Γäóm not scratching too much ├óΓé¼┬ª I├óΓé¼Γäóm not itching away! But I do feel just sort of weak and tired and I probably won├óΓé¼Γäót be back on the program for about three weeks. But that does not mean that I don├óΓé¼Γäót listen to every single word every one of you say.”
We’re sad that she won’t be on TV anymore but we’re so glad she’s recovering!
Hopefully she’ll be back on the air before we know it!
Feel better, Barbara!
