David and Victoria Beckham‘s potential reconciliation with their son Brooklyn is on a time crunch — and the clock is ticking!
As you know, it’s been nearly a year since all this Beckhams drama started with the couple’s son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz cutting ties with the family. Since then, Posh and Becks have been trying everything to get their son back in their lives to no avail. And with the potential for a reunion this June, things are still not looking promising.
The World Cup will take to the United States this summer, which gives David and Victoria an opportunity to spend some time over here. Of course, Brooklyn and Nicola live in the States, so it would be a great opportunity to really spend some quality time together — which is something David and Victoria were reportedly hopeful for! But time is running out…
The Spice Girls alum was at the Time 100 Gala on Friday where she accepted the honor as one of the Most Influential People this year. She was joined by her hubby, as well as their kids Cruz and Harper Beckham. But still, a source dished to PageSix she just couldn’t get her mind off of Brooks:
“Everything’s going really well — but Brooklyn’s not there.”
Aww…

The source insisted the family will “never give up hope” about a reconciliation, even though they’re shocked and “saddened” by the fact the feud has gone on this long:
“Everything is frozen in place.”
But that seems to only be for the parents and siblings! The insider said Brooklyn is still in contact with his grandparents — David’s mom Sandra, and Victoria’s parents Jackie and Tony. Even so, the frequency of that has dwindled down recently.
Another insider claimed it was Nicola who has been keeping the family at odds:
“She doesn’t think his family is good for him.”
Well, if that’s true, as Brooklyn has adamantly insisted, then Nicola seeing it that way is NOT the problem. The actual issues in the family would be.
Meanwhile, a separate source said it wasn’t “just” Nicola as Brooklyn’s shocking statement dragging his folks in January was made on his terms:
“Brooklyn did edit [the statement], he owned it fully … they’re not going to make up any time soon. There were points last year when an apology [from David and Victoria] would have worked, but not now.”
Wait, edit? Does that mean Nicola wrote it?? Or was that just a slip of speech? Regardless, if this source is correct, that window for hope is long closed…
As for how everyone’s doing, another source said things are a lot “calmer” these days:
“Things have been calmer, and everyone is getting on with the lives, even though it’s terribly sad they’re not in contact with Brooklyn. Whenever Brooklyn wants them, David and Victoria will be there to talk.”
Oof. This short timeline from now to June is not looking good, sadly!
Thoughts, Perezcious readers?
