Over the years there have been a lot of rumors about Tim Burton‘s classic spooky comedy Beetlejuice getting a sequel.
Back in 2012, the director said he was considering a followup and Michael Keaton even said he was interested in reprising the role.

On top of that, Winona Ryder said she too was down for coming back for more Beetlejuice action.
Now Burton has dropped a MAJOR update — confirming the sequel is definitely happening!
Tim revealed in an interview with ShowbizSpy:
“The film is a go and has been approved by the Warner Bros. team, we have talked with the cast members we wanted for the film and they are all on board, this includes both Winona and Michael. We have the script in hand everything is in place all we need to do now is get ready to start filming.”
Sounds like a green light to us!
Unfortunately, there aren’t any deets on what the story will be, but we’re just happy to be seeing Keaton back in action!
Are you excited for more Beetlejuice action?!
