Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s kids had both of their parents under the same roof this Thanksgiving… But how did they really feel about it?
Over the long holiday weekend, the Argo star was photographed out in El Lay volunteering with Jennifer at the Midnight Mission to help feed over 2,000 people experiencing homelessness. Afterwards, he was spotted walking over to the Deadpool & Wolverine star’s home in Brentwood for Turkey Day. And apparently, he felt pretty “blessed” to have done so!
An insider told Page Six on Friday he feels he “can just be himself” around his children’s mother:
“Even though Ben and Jen have been split for a while now, he feels a certain level of comfort with her. Ben has a strong relationship with Jen that will never dissipate because they have a lot of history together and she’s the mother of his kids. They’ll always be close because they share children together and maintain a friendly co-parenting relationship.”
“Certain level of comfort” is certainly what it looked like as Ben gave his ex a big squeeze in some paparazzi pics.

But besides her, the other people who surely have a LOT of thoughts on Ben cozying up with his Daredevil co-star for the holidays are their kids, Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12! We definitely wondered if the kiddos, who were so happy with Dad and J.Lo’s blended family, were less than enthused…
But there’s reportedly no complaints in that department! On Sunday, a source told People:
“They celebrated Thanksgiving as a family. The kids love having everyone together. Jen hosted dinner at her house.”
We bet that was awesome for the kids! It’s rare to see divorced parents forging such a special post-marital bond like Ben and Jen have, but it’s certainly cool to see!
According to the source, Violet came home from Yale University for the festivities and everyone had a “nice Thanksgiving” together. We wonder if she was secretly texting her beloved stepmomma J.Lo under the table! Ha!
