What’s really going on between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner?
We knew they were getting along really well these days. But we’ve been hearing rumblings someone was catching (or re-catching?) feelings. A source said last week Ben “would love another chance” with the 13 Going On 30 star. And there were those pics of him holding her tight as they both laughed at Samuel‘s paintball bday party… It was super coupley.
Then we heard her boyfriend John Miller was just as bothered by those pics as you’d expect — and gave Jen an ultimatum about how she acted with her ex! We mean… it all leads one to wonder what’s really happening!

Well, Us Weekly asked all their Bennifer sources for the latest paper issue, and here’s what they’ve got so far…
One insider told them:
“Their relationship has evolved into a strong friendship. Jen is a grounding and trusting force in Ben’s life. Their bond is the strongest that it’s ever been.”
We mean, we have gotten that sense from the former couple. He used to cause such chaos in her life, but over the years since their split she’s been so patient and caring… It really has seemed to bring him to a better, healthier, happier place.
And he took that strength and… went and won back Jennifer Lopez. LOLz! Garner even supported him through that whole debacle! But yes, after that relationship imploded, he did retreat back to his baby momma’s arms… mostly figuratively, but a bit literally as we’ve seen.
But the source says that’s more about coparenting!
“Ben’s actually been spending more time with Jen since his divorce from Jennifer [Lopez] because he’s been prioritizing his kids. It’s easier to spend time with them with Jen.”
Hmm. Obviously he’s a caring dad. But that’s not what those photos communicated…
The insider also says while the J.Lo breakup was “hard” it’s getting “easier” with time. With time… and with Jen?? The source says:
“Ben’s in a good place. He’s in a better mental and emotional space than he has been in years.”
And if that’s all because of how great Jen Garner has been, no wonder he’s looking at her in a different light now, right?
