Nikki Glaser may have roasted the hell outta Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez at the Golden Globes on Sunday night… but it’s what the stand-up comic didn’t say on stage that really has our jaws on the floor right now!!
Following her hosting gig at the 2025 version of the awards show on Sunday, the comedian turned up on Howard Stern‘s SiriusXM radio show bright and early on Monday morning to talk about the experience. During the interview, she revealed to Howard that there was a seriously risqué Ben Affleck divorce joke in her opening monologue that actually landed on the cutting room floor before she got a chance to use it!

Glaser told Stern how she wanted to reference Affleck’s slow-motion 2024 split from singer Jennifer Lopez with some topical and timely on-stage humor at the Globes. So, she nearly added this “insane” quip about the Argo actor’s love life into her opening monologue:
“[I almost said], like, ‘Am I gonna roast or am I gonna toast? You know what? I’m not roasting. I’m gonna toast.’ And I just did all these toasts that were roasts. Like, ‘Here’s to Ben Affleck, I can’t wait to see which Jennifer you try to ruin next.'”
OMG!!
But Glaser thought better of it:
“I argued like, ‘Oh, I didn’t say ruin them. I said he tried to ruin them so it’s not against them.’ But I was like, ‘That would have been insane.’”
Yeah…
Of course, the multiple “Jennifer” reference is a nod to both J.Lo, from whom Ben recently split, as well as his other ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Those two wed in 2005 and were married for a decade — with three kids, to boot — before splitting in 2015.
Now, to be fair, Ben didn’t entirely escape Nikki’s focus at the show! She did deliver this knockout punch in her opening remarks that made it to air:
“Tonight, we celebrate the best of film and hold space for television. Yes, Wicked, Queer, Nightbitch. These are not just words Ben Affleck yells after he orgasms. These are some of the incredible movies nominated tonight.”
But still… she cut a helluva joke out of the repertoire, too! Good thing she went on Stern after the fact and revealed it to the world regardless! Reactions, Perezcious readers?! Share your comments and takes (below)!!
