Bachelor Ben Higgins & His Fiancée Are Sleeping In Separate Beds Until They Get Married!

Ben Higgins reveals he and his fiancé are sleeping in separate beds ahead of their wedding!

Ben Higgins is keeping things above-board while visiting his soon-to-be-in-laws in Tennessee… and it’s probably a good idea!

The former star of The Bachelor is all set to marry fiancée Jessica Clarke in a few months (more on that date in a minute), but until then he’s taking the safe route while quarantining from the coronavirus pandemic along with her family in the Volunteer State. And yes, that means no sleeping in the same bed!

The 31-year-old former reality TV star came clean about the sleeping arrangements in a new episode of fellow Bachelor Nation alum Nick Viall‘s podcast on Wednesday. During the show, the pair of former Bachelor leading men discussed quarantine life, the spread of COVID-19, their daily changes amid the social distancing protocols, and Ben’s upcoming marriage.

And Higgins was more than happy to keep things PG for his future in-laws. He explained:

“Right now she has a bedroom upstairs at her parents’ house, I’m in the downstairs. It’s like a respect level, and also just like how — what the logistics of it is.”

Hmmm…

When notorious playboy Viall, 39, then followed up with the obvious question — what the pair’s sex life looked like while stuck at home with mom and dad — Ben busted out the big guns in response, confirming the couple was waiting for that until they got married while adding:

“Definitely [no sex] this week, and not in the last like, year and a half.”

Whoa! Very impressive… and rare!

It also makes more sense now knowing why he was hoping to have a short engagement! The pair’s original plan was to wed this summer, but social distancing uncertainties and the threat of the pandemic will likely push things back a bit.

Higgins regretfully explained more, saying:

“I have a feeling it’s gonna be a longer engagement and here’s why. We don’t know what this virus is going to affect. It could be here another two months, two and a half months, at that point, weddings are going to be pushed back, venues are going to be booked, and I don’t want to add stress to a really fun and joyful time knowing that this is the real deal.”

Oh nooo!

And as the ABC personality noted in a follow-up, the pandemic is affecting Clarke’s family specifically, as well:

“The second is, as I’ve mentioned before, her brother plays professional baseball. So there’s a very short season of, like, freedom that he isn’t playing that we can get married. So it’s kind of managing and navigating — well when does his season start up? It’s almost impossible to figure it out. That could be fun and exciting and a lot less stress, but at the end of all of this, this is Jess’ day.”

Oh, man! Here’s hoping things work out for the whole family!

Wedding time is such a stressful time already, and to have the coronavirus pandemic added to it, we can’t even imagine!
