Sir Ben Kingsley For Iron Man 3?

Smokeshow Downey Jr. versus Sir Ben Kingsley?
That’s the apparent word today as we hear Kingsley is in the final round of negotiations to play the main villain for Iron Man 3.
The Hugo actor will appear, if he is indeed chosen, as a character based on Mallen who is a villain enhanced with a deadly nanotech virus.
Jon Faveru, director of the previous Iron Man films, will NOT help Iron Man 3. Instead Shane Black is taking over and is using a screenplay written by Drew Pearce.
Downey will be Iron Man, again. What a relief! We couldn’t imagine anyone else playing the cynical yet oddly charming superhero, and, thankfully, we won’t have to!
We’re excited to see what the next Iron Man brings to this storied franchise!
