We know Beyonce wasn’t going home until she won an award tonight.
Jay-Z‘s wife beat out Marsha Ambrosius, Mary J. Blige, Melanie Fiona and Rihanna to win “Best Female R&B Artist” at the 2012 BET Awards.
We thought Rihanna would be taking the stage to accept this award after such a stellar year, but Beyonce’s talent can not be denied either.
While gracefully accepting the honor, the humble artist thanked Whitney Houston for being a HUGE inspiration for her music.
We’re sure she’s proud of what you’ve become, gurl. Congrats on the award!
