Rumors circulated this week that Beyonc├â┬⌐ was offering her talents for a feature on Cardi B‘s upcoming album. This all started after the rapper’s vocal engineer Michael Ashby posted a teaser of the collaboration on Instagram.

It didn’t take long before Twitter starting buzzing with the sounds of Bey’s bees voicing their concern that Cardi wasn’t on the same level as the Formation singer.

Since the leaked news, Ashby has apologized directly to the super-private Beyoncé, saying:
“Public apology to Beyonc├â┬⌐ and all her fans unfortunately ├óΓé¼╦£hot new hip-hop’ invaded (sic) my privacy. I cannot turn back the hands of time, so at least this a life lesson I’ve learned on my behalf and all I can do is move forward.”
