But now, there’s official (and inspirational) confirmation!
At a screening for her “visual album” on Saturday in NYC, Bey finally revealed some Material Girl intel inside her new bananas music:
“I felt like I wanted to follow in the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse and have my own empire—show other women, when you get to this point in your career, you don├óΓé¼Γäót have to go sign with someone else and share your money, and your success, you can do it yourself.”
And then, Blue Ivy‘s momma went deeper into how the secret plan came all together:
“I found a team of underdogs, a team of women, a team of people that no one believed in. And we worked together and we stayed up all night and we were progressive and we did not follow the rules and we said, ├óΓé¼╦£Why can├óΓé¼Γäót we do it?├óΓé¼Γäó and I don├óΓé¼Γäót think people believed, you know?”
