Just when we thought we were done with that Illuminati mess, a woman battling Beyoncé over the name “Blue Ivy” has brought up the years-old conspiracy theory in a new legal filing.
According to court docs obtained by The Blast, Veronica Morales is back in court fighting the superstar in their two-year trademark war over the rights to “Blue Ivy” — both the name of Bey’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, and Morales’ wedding planning company.
The singer tried to obtain the trademark for her and JAY-Z’s eldest daughter’s name, the outlet notes, but Morales argued she was already using it for her business. Now, the case is headed to trial, with the wedding planner insisting the rumors that Queen Bey secretly worships Satan is hurting her brand!

Morales’ response came after the Single Ladies performer explained her argument for being granted the trademark, stating:
“Blue Ivy Carter is a cultural icon who has been described as a ‘mini style star’ and has been celebrated for her ‘fashion moments’ over the years. Her life and activities are followed extensively by the media and the public.”
The wedding planner felt otherwise, however, replying:
“With all due respect, Blue Ivy Carter definitely is not a cultural icon. That would be someone like Benjamin Franklin, Elvis Presley or Marilyn Monroe. Celebrities need to follow the law like everyone else.”
Cultural icon or not, Morales says Yoncé committed fraud by filing for the trademark without planning to use it in the marketplace — a claim she’s backing with an interview that Jay gave to Vanity Fair following Blue’s birth.
At the time, the rapper told the mag he and his wife only filed the trademark to keep others from profiting off their daughter and had no plans to use it themselves. While Bey has since reportedly tried to dismiss those comments, saying Jay’s remarks aren’t relevant to the case, Morales says:
“This is untrue, because Mr. Carter has a very close relationship with BGK, being the husband of its manager and sole member, the singer Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, and the father of their daughter Blue Ivy Carter.”
The wedding planner believes she has come forward with enough evidence to support her story, adding that:
“Blue Ivy’s Facebook page also almost immediately received an increase in fans from the African continent.”
To make matters worse, the undying rumors that Blue Ivy’s parents are members of an evil, underground secret society is apparently causing further harm to her business.
She writes:
“Many members of the general public believe the Carter’s are members of the so-called ‘Illuminati’ and the name of their daughter spelled backwards is “Eulb Yvi” which in Latin is translated to ‘Lucifer’s Daughter.’”
(It’s not, for the record.)
Morales is asking the Trademark Board to deny Beyoncé’s trademark completely.
