Beyoncé & JAY-Z Send Reese Witherspoon Champagne After Funny Golden Globes Moment!

Reese Witherspoon just found herself a couple of new drinking buddies!

The Morning Show star took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to show off a surprise gift she was sent by Beyoncé and JAY-Z: a case of their Ace of Spades champagne!

Why did the superstar couple send the actress a case of bubbly, you ask? Well, it all goes back to the 2020 Golden Globes on Sunday.

During the award show, Reese and co-star Jennifer Aniston ran out of water at their table, so naturally the Legally Blonde star went over to Bey and Jay’s table and asked for some refreshments — and came back with a few glasses of their champagne that they brought to the ceremony!

It was all documented on Jen’s Insta Stories (below):

Flash forward to Thursday: the Big Little Lies producer came back home from New York to find a surprise package from the couple. She told her followers in the video:

“I just got home from New York, and the most beautiful flowers are here, and a case of Ace of Spades champagne.”

The special delivery came complete with a note from Jay and B, which hilariously read:

“More water.”

Ha!

Reese went on to open the bottle of champagne with her mom Betty, who was a bit hesitant to drink at 11:30 in the morning. But, as Reese put it, “who cares!?” She captioned the post:

“It’s 5 o’clock somewhere right??”

It sure is, gurl!

After a dramatic pop of the bottle, Reese and Betty had a sip of the bubbly, which tasted AH-Mazing, unsurprisingly.

Reese gushed:

“It’s really good. It’s a good way to start the New Year.”

Reese may not have walked away with a Golden Globe this week, but we think free champagne from Beyoncé and JAY-Z is a great consolation prize!

Ch-ch-check out the fun video (below):

For those who don’t know, Jay purchased Ace of Spades (the brand’s actual name is Armand de Brignac Champagne) in 2014, and it has since become a staple at clubs, bars, and restaurants all over the country.

The brand is also well regarded among wine critics; in 2016, Armand de Brignac Blanc de Noirs Assemblage One (A1) was awarded the #1 Blanc De Noirs in the World for 2016 by FINE Champagne Magazine. The following year, Armand de Brignac Brut Rosé was awarded Best Rosé Champagne in the World for 2017 by TastingBook.com. But of course, this liquid prestige doesn’t come cheap: each bottle costs about $300!

Drink up, Reese!
