The union was extremely displeased by the singer’s Formation video and Super Bowl performance, which they believe had anti-police themes.
Well now, another police force is joining the anti-Bey crusade!
Ed Mullins — head of New York’s Sergeants Benevolent Association — says he may have a talk with his union about joining Miami’s protest against the Crazy In Love songstress. She will be playing Citi Field on June 7 and 8.
He said :

“Law enforcement across the country has to make a statement that we’re not bad guys and she’s got to stop portraying us as bad guys.”

However, Mullins is willing to meet with the diva herself, hoping that she will tone down her anti-police imagery.
New York’s larger police union — the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association — has yet to release a statement on whether they will or will not boycott.
