Beyoncé did it again!
We’ve been wondering when Queen Bey would gift the world with her next release, and last night on HBO, we got our answer!!!

Lemonade dropped and pretty much took over Twitter yesterday evening, with Bey releasing 12 — yes, 12 — new songs alongside music videos from the upcoming album!
It’s all available on Tidal now, which is a bit of a surprise that she decided to make the album stream-only, but we have a feeling a LOT of people are going to be signing up for a subscription very soon!!!
The singer’s sixth studio album, which was described as “a conceptual project based on every woman’s journey of self-knowledge and healing,” showed off a TON of girl power last night on screen.
Things started off with Intuition, a nice, powerful R&B jam, before transitioning to a sassy song in Denial. With a baseball bat in hand, Bey belted it out and took out some rage at a few unknown men — or even Jay-Z, perhaps?? — really letting loose!!

We saw The Weeknd make a surprise appearance on Emptiness, and the track also included a dancing Serena Williams featured in the video!
In Reformation, Bey appeared in the same football stadium where she previously performed the Super Bowl halftime show, and then hubby Jay made his own appearance in Forgiveness, even sharing a sweet kiss with the gorgeous superstar.
Bey got serious in the album, too — the mothers of Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown were shown on screen with pictures of their sons in Resurrection, and other notable names like Winnie Harlow and Amandla Stenberg showed up later in the video for Hope.
Jack White, James Blake, and Kendrick Lamar also all made appearances on Bey’s new venture, on Don’t Hurt Yourself, Forward, and Freedom, respectively. Amazing!!!

In the ending high note, Redemption, things wrapped up strongly when fans were given a look at throwback clips of Bey’s family, including the Queen and Jay getting “IV” tattoos, to Tina Knowles Lawson and her new hubby Richard Lawson sharing a kiss — some very private, sweet moments!!!
The whole thing is available now on Tidal, and though we have a feeling that may be expanded soon, for the time being, it’s a stream-only proposition.
Awe-inspiring work, though!!!
What’d U think of the special last night??
