Big Brother Just Cast Its First Transgender Contestant Ever -- Is This The Next Caitlyn Jenner Moment?

no title
What a great day for the Transgender community!
But first, Caitlyn Jenner‘s reveal of her true self has been the most captivating news story of the year, and with her docu-series I am Cait premiering soon, the LGBT Community is just getting more exposure than ever.
But Caitlyn’s E! series won’t be the only Reality TV show to feature a transgender person this summer!
The cast of Big Brother was just revealed, and it looks like they want to be a part of the conversation as well, because the CBS staple just cast its first Transgender contestant ever!
Audrey Middleton is a 25-year-old digital media consultant from Georgia who just so happens to have been assigned the male gender at birth, and she’s about to make history — International versions of the social experiment show have featured Trans individuals, but never our American one.

Big Brother has received a lot of negative press in the past because of racist and homophobic contestants, so it will be interesting to see how Julie Chen and Co. manage to keep Audrey’s experience entertaining, but also educational.
Do U think CBS is actually going to try to teach its demographic about Transgender issues, or is America’s Favorite Network just jumping on the bandwagon??
Find out when Season 17 of Big Brother premieres Wednesday, June 24, at 8/7c on CBS!!!
