Christie Brinkley and Bill Joel’s daughter Alexa Ray Joel finally opened up about her suicide attempt.
Alexa tried to end her life last year when she swallowed a handful of sleeping pills after a break-up with her boyfriend. Fortunately, she called the ambulance and was treated at New York’s St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Said Alexa:
├óΓé¼┼ôI got caught up in my own head. It was a panic. I didn’t want to die. I just didn’t want to feel what I was feeling at that moment any more.├óΓé¼┬¥
Alexa says that she now has a more positive outlook on life:
├óΓé¼┼ôI don’t like to believe in depression. I believe if you work hard enough, you can get yourself out of it. I work on myself every day. I’m trying to rearrange my life in a way to feel happy and fulfilled.├óΓé¼┬¥
