In the new issue of Kerrang! magazine, the Green Day frontman got candid about presidential nominee Donald Trump — and let’s just say Mr. Armstrong is NOT a fan!
The singer complained about Trump’s alleged tactics of taking advantage of “poor” people’s “anger” — even going so far as to call him a modern day Adolf Hitler.

Billie Joe explained to the mag:
“The worst problem I see about Trump is who his followers are. I actually feel bad for them because they’re poor, working-class people who can’t get a leg up. They’re pissed off, and he’s preyed on their anger. He just said, ‘You have no options, and I’m the only one, and I’m going to take care of it myself.’ I mean, that’s f*cking Hitler, man!”
Dayum! The 44-year-old just took American Idiot up a few major notches!
Defending his stance, Armstrong added:
“I don’t even know how else to explain it. I wish I were over-exaggerating. And sometimes maybe I do over-exaggerate with Bush. But with Trump, I just can’t wait ’til he’s gone.”
Well, if recent polls are any indication, the rocker won’t have to wait long!
