Billy Ray Lashes Out At Hannah Montana For "Destroying" His Family!

Watch those bridges burn, baby, burrrrn!
The Cyrus family’s severing all ties with the House of Mouse, starting with daddy Billy Ray Cyrus, who reportedly gave a scathing interview to GQ this month, detailing the reasons why his daughter’s Hannah Montana handlers ruined their family.
Billy Ray admits that he let Miley Cyrus’ handlers take too much control over his daughter’s life. He confesses that he’s “scared for her,” as a lot of the people around her are “putting her in a great deal of danger,” while forcing all the blame for her actions onto him. As an example, he talks about her 18th birthday party at the El Lay club, Trousdale. He explains:

“You know why I didn’t go? Because they were having it in a bar. It was wrong. It was for 21 years old and up . . . all them people, they all wanted me to fly out so that then when all the bad press came they could say, ‘Daddy endorsed this stuff.’ I started realizing I’m being used.”

You mean you were letting yourself be used. At the end of the day, you are still the girl’s father. If there was something you didn’t feel comfortable with, like her pole-dancing Teen Choice Awards routine or her Vanity Fair cover shoot (his examples, not ours), you should have spoken up! You should have stepped in! Father trumps handlers!
When asked if he could go back and change anything, Billy Ray admits that he wished they have never even signed up for the Hannah Montana gig, claiming it “destroyed his family.” He added:

“I’d take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be everybody okay, safe and sound and happy and normal.”

Then, Billy Ray gets really melodramatic upset and compares his darling daughter to Anna Nicole Smith, saying, “You could see that train wreck coming.”
Wow. Maybe a bit too far, Billy! She’s made a few mistakes, but we wouldn’t thrown Mileybird on the train wreck list yet!
BTW – Does Miley know that you did this? We know you two haven’t really spoken since the whole salvia incident, but we think she might just be a bit ticked off that you went off the deep end on the hands that feed her…and you!
