Björk's Vocal Surgery Is A Success!

We thought we hadn’t heard from her in a while!
Bj├â┬╢rk had vocal surgery! She confirmed just last week that she had a successful surgery that removed a polyp from her vocal chords — which, we’re sure, was a very scary thing to do for someone who sings for a living.
She actually first discovered the polyp a few years ago and tried to take care of it by doing stretches and changing her diet, which didn’t exactly work. She says that advances in technology are what convinced her to have the surgery.
Here’s what she said:

“Surgery rocks! I stayed quiet for 3 weeks and then started singing and definitely feel like my cords are as good as pre-nodule. It’s been very satisfying to sing all the clear notes again. So looking forward to singing for you in 2013.”

Apparently she didn’t want to worry her fans, which is why she kept it under-wraps… and also why she canceled a bunch of shows earlier this year.
Well, we’re glad she’s okay!
