For those who don’t know, “occult” is defined as supernatural, mystical, or magical beliefs, practices, or phenomena.

There’s no shortage of Wicca, psychic, medium, etc. connoisseurs in Hollywood — just ask Khloé Kardashian! She’s had readings with Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo and E!’s Tyler Henry.

Kim Kardashian West

Kim Kardashian West sat down with Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo to presumably talk with her dad, Robert Kardashian Sr.! She had a great time and even said meeting the TLC star was a dream come true.

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey asked fans to join her in casting a spell on Donald Trump in February 2017. While she was a high profile participant in the ritual, she was just hopping on a highly-publicized and international effort to bind Trump. Amber Tamblyn ousted herself as a working witch in 2018 after the tragic suicide of Anthony Bourdain. Encouraging her followers to conjure up a protection spell for Bourdain’s girlfriend Asia Argento, she tweeted:

“Witches: please prepare the strongest protection spell you have for our sister Asia Argento today. Please lift her up with all the love and light your conjuring is capable of casting.”

Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin‘s history is laced with rumors of contracts with the devil and occult worship. Guitarist Jimmy Page made no secret of his obsession with occult leader Aleister Crowley — he even bought his Boleskine House on the shores of Loch Ness! Fans and rock historians alike blame their dealings in the dark arts for the many tragedies they succumbed to.

Carlton Gebbia

Carlton Gebbia from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills identifies as a Celtic pagan witch. She once elaborated on her beliefs, saying

“I take traditions from Wicca and from traditional witchcraft. What I practice is based in harmony. It’s all about Mother Nature. With the pentagram, which is our symbol, or certainly it’s my symbol, it deals with the elements. So it’s my spirit, fire, water, earth, air. It’s [all about] having respect for where we are, where we live and what we live on. I use crystals, candles, some herbs and I recognize holy days. I use the moon a lot. The new moon is probably one of the most powerful times for me. I don’t practice dark magic and there’s such a misconception and negative stigma attached to witchcraft. Not everybody that practices Wicca or paganism is a witch, but I do practice magic. Which sounds so bloody outlandish, I know. But it’s all based on positive energy. It’s all about love, it’s about harmony, and just acknowledgment that there is something beyond this universe that deals with miracles and that miracles are at work.”

Due to the dark themes, many fans used this as proof of Kanye’s rumored involvement in the internet’s favorite conspiracy theory — The Illuminati. Though West has since denounced ties to the infamous secret society, the chilling elements of Coldest Winter remain.
