Blake Lively is calling out Justin Baldoni for fat-shaming her!
In her new sexual harassment lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, obtained by E! News on Monday, the Gossip Girl alum slammed the Jane The Virgin star for “routinely” weight-shaming her during the production of the film. In the complaint, she recalled an incident when he allegedly sent her to a weight loss specialist! WTF?!

According to Blake, Justin offered to connect her with an expert on probiotics as a “gift” after she got strep throat amid production. But when the 37-year-old — who had just welcomed her fourth child shortly before making the movie — filled out the specialist’s privacy forms, she realized the expert was really a weight loss specialist. She said the whole thing felt like body-shaming. Jeez.
Was this expert just a specialist in both probiotics and weight loss and Justin meant nothing by the recommendation?? Or was this a super shady way to try to get her to lose weight? Hmm.
Remember, around the time the movie premiered, TMZ sources claimed one reason there was so much tension between the co-stars was over a weight issue. An insider claimed Justin asked the on-set trainer how much Blake weighed, apparently because he had back issues and wanted to know how to lift her properly. The convo got back to the actress, though, and she was super hurt, understandably so. She was facing a lot of criticisms online for her looks during filming, so to have her on-screen love interest and director poking around behind her back asking about her body would no doubt be uncomfortable. Not to mention she’d just had a baby. Plenty of mothers struggle with insecurities about their bodies after giving birth — even if you’re Blake freaking Lively! What a shame she felt body-shamed like this.
Also, if Ryan Reynolds‘ wife is claiming these weight-shaming comments were so routine, there are probably a LOT more alleged instances like this, too. Awful. FWIW, Justin’s attorney has denied the allegations on his behalf.
