Blake Lively stepped out for some sweets over the weekend with her kids, and she’s getting absolutely roasted for it!
On Sunday, the actress was spotted at Rise Doughnuts in Connecticut, surprising fans by working behind the counter. She referenced the visit in her Instagram Story by sharing a clip of her and an unknown chef standing over a large mixer, teasing in the caption:
“Baking with genius food friends and their kitchen mixer the size of a car. This is what my happy place looks like.”

Now we know she was at the local donut shop in Wilton, with a source confirming to People on Sunday that she “was in a really happy mood” during the trip “and said she is friends with the owner.” At one point during the visit, she reportedly chatted with a father and son, and the dad told his kiddo, “Her husband is Deadpool.”
Blake has posted about her love of baking before, so it’s not a shock to see her getting her hands dirty in the kitchen. The timing, however, has fans skeptical about the true purpose of this sighting!
Apparently, the Gossip Girl alum was at the donut shop with her two daughters according to a blind tip from DeuxMoi. (She has daughters James, 10, Inez, 8, and Betty, 5, and son Olin, 2, with Ryan Reynolds.) You can see Blake behind the counter in a video captured by a local, though the children were not visible in the short clip (below):

Now, haters think the It Ends With Us star was just trying to hit back at controversy surrounding the couple’s daughter Inez’s involvement in Deadpool & Wolverine. In the movie, Inez as Kidpool says:
“Hey, when I want your opinion, I’ll take Wolverine’s d**k out of your mouth.”
In a BTS video clip, Ryan admitted he allowed his daughter to use mature language, even after she said she didn’t want to! He claimed when he started to recast the role, she changed her mind and then he and the director, Shawn Levy, had her perform the line hundreds of times! Blake was part of the same scene, too, so she was likely fine with the unnecessary repetition of the naughty words. Fans blasted the couple for the move, calling it disgusting and hypocritical.
With that in mind, TikTok creator Stephanie Tleiji slammed the performers for trying to use this donut shop sighting as a way to do some much-needed damage control, she claimed:
“This whole PR move of working at a cafe with her two daughters is actually not a surprise. Trying to show mother of the year, show people that she’s raising her daughter right.”

”If this was a PR move, it didn’t work out exactly as planned. But at this point, it doesn’t seem like there’s anything Blake can do to win over her haters amid her sexual harassment and smear campaign legal fight against Justin Baldoni. He was spotted recently in Hawaii with his children sporting a new haircut, so maybe she was hoping for some good press of her own?? Too bad it kinda backfired!
