Blake Lively isn’t giving up on repairing her friendship with Taylor Swift!
The Gossip Girl star finally settled her It Ends With Us legal war with Justin Baldoni on Monday after reaching a (likely very disappointing) settlement. She then stepped out at the Met Gala like it was her very own victory parade!
As Hollywood warms up to her again, can the actress truly win back everyone?!

Speaking to Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack on Wednesday, sources revealed Blake is quietly hoping she can mend fences with her one-time bestie Taylor. One confidant stressed:
“Blake genuinely believes there’s still a path back. Now that the legal mess is over, she thinks the hardest part is behind her and there’s real hope they can move forward.”
In fact, Blake’s not just crossing her fingers and wishing for a miracle. She genuinely thinks she could be forgiven — and fast! Another insider dished:
“Just like she had her Met Gala dress ready, she already has a dress picked out for Taylor’s wedding. That’s how convinced she was — and still is — that this friendship can be saved.”

Taylor and Travis Kelce are set to tie the knot on July 3 in New York, according to the latest speculation. That’s not very long at all!
Previous sources have suggested the singer was feeling very hesitant and skeptical about extending an invitation to Blake after everything that happened amid the legal matter. And yet, Tay Tay’s also been open about wanting to have a large celebration. So, would she just throw her ex-bestie a bone?
It helps that Blake and Ryan Reynolds live in NYC, so it should be fairly easy for them to pop over to the wedding if they get a last-minute invite. It could be a good chance for the ice to thaw. But, on the other hand, we can totally respect and understand Taylor if she decides on not wanting to drag all that drama and media speculation into her big day. Blake’s orbit has pulled her into enough scandal as it is! We’ll just have to wait and see if the A Simple Favor star ever gets to make use of her dress.
Whether or not she attends the nuptials, the embattled businesswoman is confident a day will come when the friends will find their way back to each other, another insider shared:
“She knows not everything snaps back overnight. But Blake believes removing the chaos changes everything. She thinks once the noise is gone, there’s room for real healing.”
While Blake is betting on a renewed connection and believes they have at least one more chapter of their friendship left, per the sources, it’s hard to know if Taylor feels the same way.
