After ALL that, Blake Lively walked away with… nothing!
The Gossip Girl star shockingly settled her It Ends With Us lawsuit against Justin Baldoni on Monday. The parties released a joint statement, but it was mostly just trying to uplift survivors of domestic violence and put their film in a better light after this legal mess wreaked havoc on its reputation. There was no apology. No acknowledgement of any wrongdoing.
Sooo… what happened with the settlement? Who won??

According to TMZ intel on Tuesday, in the days before the settlement was reached, there was a lot of BTS chaos for Team Lively. The actress actually brought on a whole new law firm named Sussman Godfrey. They’re supposed to be great at litigation, and they’ve got a stellar track record to back that up. They helped secure a $425 million verdict against Google, an even larger $1.6 billion judgment against the Baha Mar casino, and even $1.5 billion in an AI copyright settlement. Damn!
Clearly, Miz Blake was ready to come swinging! Why else bring them on at the last minute?? As it turns out, though, it did nothing but earn her more legal bills!
Sources claim Blake made no money in the settlement. Justin wasn’t even required to release an apology! Why would she ever agree to that?! Well, it seems the A Simple Favor star realized things just weren’t going her way in the buildup to the trial (which was scheduled to start in two weeks). A judge had just decimated her case by dismissing all her sexual harassment claims, after all.
While Justin and Blake had been very resistant to settlement attempts in the past, they must’ve realized the trial was going to put them through hell. Having to be cross-examined and deal with tons more information out in the world was surely going to weigh on their personal and professional lives. At the end of the day, it seems like they were ready to be done with this — and finally, one of them was willing to cave. And it sounds like Blake might’ve taken the biggest loss, considering how much money she was after!
There were some winners in this battle, though — both of their legal teams! This lawsuit scandal began back in December 2024! We can’t imagine how massive their bills have become!!! Ouch.
Certainly not the outcome either of them wanted. But at least the drama is done! And honestly? Life is so short, so why spend it like this? They clearly made the best choice to get their lives back to normal as soon as possible.
