Where do Blake Lively and Taylor Swift stand today?
Earlier this week, Judge Lewis J. Liman delivered a brutal blow to Justin Baldoni and dismissed his $400 million defamation lawsuit against the Gossip Girl alum. It was a massive victory for Blake, one she is celebrating… but will her (former) best friend be by her side??
This legal drama was the cause of a huge rift between the BFFs, so we’re sure plenty of folks on Team Blake hoped Tay might come around now that it looks like she’s winning this thing. But no, the pair are still not talking after the subpoena drama!

You may have assumed by the major hint that the pop star didn’t break her silence to congratulate Blake personally on the win! A source told Us Weekly on Thursday:
“Although it was great news for Blake, she hasn’t rekindled her friendship with Taylor yet. Taylor has not been in touch with Blake and still does not want to discuss anything to do with the lawsuit.”
Unfortunately for Taylor, she can’t just sit back and ignore the legal battle now because her involvement in it may not be over yet! The Cruel Summer singer got entangled in the lawsuit when Justin claimed Blake used Tay, her “dragon,” to get her way and pressure him into changing a scene in It Ends With Us. Taylor reportedly had no idea, only learning about that weird Game of Thrones text from the lawsuit. And Blake exploiting her fame was not something she was OK with.
Then things got worse when Justin subpoenaed Taylor last month. But it turned out there was something spicier than Khaleesi references to dig into! His attorney, Bryan Freedman, claimed they needed to discuss with her information they received from a source closely linked to her (reportedly her dad, Scott Swift!!!). That tea? Blake allegedly tried to extort Taylor, threatening to leak private texts if the Cats actress didn’t publicly support her amid the lawsuit. Yikes! You can understand why their friendship isn’t repaired yet — or likely never will be — if this is true!
The subpoena was later dropped, but it’s not like Taylor can just relax now! Freedman hinted she could still be involved in the legal mess! Ugh! Not good news for the songwriter! Being trapped in the middle of this mess is the last thing we’ve heard Tay wants, so no wonder things remain so rocky with Blake!
That said, the Us Weekly source shared that the Another Simple Favor star is “hopeful” that she and the 35-year-old musician will “rekindle their friendship, but as of now, there is still distance.” Is that why Blake subpoenaed Scooter Braun? Was it her way of extending an olive branch to Taylor? Hmm. The source continued:
“Blake feels vindicated and is hopeful the worst is over. This has been her worst living nightmare, and she feels relief as she is able to move forward with her life. It’s been tough dealing with everything publicly, but she’s starting to feel less shame now and more confident being in public.”
Yet she still has the Taylor problem to deal with…
We don’t know, Blake. Mending the friendship with Tay might be wishful thinking at this point! The Lover singer seemingly wants nothing to do with the mom of four now after the massive betrayal!
