Blake Shelton, riding both talent and his latest exposure on NBC’s The Voice, is on track to hitting #1 on the Billboard top 200 chart next week — which would be his first time doing so!
Experts think that 110,000 copies is not out of the question for Blake to sell this week, which is more than enough to be at the top. They also think Incubus and their new album If Not Now, When? will sit pretty at number two.
Shelton’s Billboard 200 history dates back to his 2001 self-titled debut, which peaked at No. 45. He’s since notched eight more chart entries, including four top 10 albums. His last studio set, “All About Tonight” (EP), debuted and peaked at No. 6 last August. That effort also became his first No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart — a destination he’s clearly headed with his new “Red River Blue” album.
If all goes to plan, he’ll be knocking Beyonce out of the #1 spot, and she’s expected to land down at #5.
Which still isn’t so bad!
Congrats, Blake! Sounds like everything is going really well for you!
