It’s about time.
Despite living in a country where same-sex marriage is now legal in all 50 states, the Boy Scouts of America have had a controversial history of disallowing gay people into their organization.
It was a landmark decision when the Boy Scouts finally let gay children into their club, but they were still adamant about not allowing homosexual adults to take part in den leadership.

Well, that’s all a thing of the past, because the National Executive Board for the org just voted to rectify the scandalous rule that’s been in effect since they were founded in 1910.
And the best part? It was a unanimous decision!
The ruling will officially go into effect when the board convenes on July 27, but we’re just so elated by every step we take towards true equality.
What a time to be alive!
