For weeks, the media has been debating whether reports that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt splitting up were true.
The most recent speculation started when News Of The World reported last month that the couple would be separating and had agreed to a division of assets and custody of their kids after meeting with a divorce attorney.
Well, the report wasn’t true and now Brangelina are sueing!
According to the couple’s attorney, Keith Schilling, the original report was “false and intrusive.”
And despite asking for an apology and retraction, Schilling states the paper failed to meet “reasonable demands” for an apology.
As for the divorce lawyer the couple was allegedly said to have met with, Sorrell Trope, he released a statement to the couple’s attorney saying:
“I have had no contact from… Angelina Jolie and / or Brad Pitt. I have never met… your clients or had any involvement with either of them. The foregoing is true with respect to all other members of this firm.”
And there you have it. Brad and Ange are still together. And we hope it lasts.
